Brian Spencer St JohnHowdy,

I’ll spare you the biography. Below is a quick snapshot of my background, skills and how you can connect with me.

If you must know… I’m currently living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (2006-present), previously resided in the San Francisco Bay Area (1999-2006) and was born in El Paso, Texas.

Background:

When people ask me about what I do, it’s difficult to answer, I never really liked being put into a category or box. My original passion in life was to become a fine artist, of which I’m still working on. In fact, I’m working on a project called Chrome Axe, which allows me to further refine my illustration techniques.

Along the way while pursuing the arts, numerous people insisted that I would starve as an artist and that I should have a backup plan… so my next passion became Graphic Design. Between 1999-2006 I lived in San Francisco, attending the Academy of Art University, all the while, working the graveyard shift and raising my family. It was during this period where I first began developing on the web and honing my reporting/analytical skills. If juggling family, work and school weren’t enough, I took on many other side projects, some of which are featured here.

Since my relocation to Dallas in 2006, I’ve continued my formal education, focusing on web development and programming. There’s a reason to my madness… my passion has become the pursuit of being dual-brained, both technical and creative.
